Everything to know about the 2026 Renault Duster
The new 2026 Duster will be launched in India next month. The new-gen Duster is based on the CMF-B platform, an architecture that will be shared with the upcoming Nissan Tekton.
Renault had unveiled the new Duster in January with a new rugged design and modern elements like the connected LED taillights, flared wheel arches, 18-inch alloy wheels, and functional roof rails. The new Duster will follow a conventional and more rugged design language overall.
On the inside, it will offer a driver-centric cabin design with black leather upholstery and modern features like a connected dual screen layout with a 10.1-inch digital driver console and a 10.25-inch infotainment screen. Features will include wireless charging, ambient lights, Level 2 ADAS safety, e-parking brake, drive and traction modes, and more.
Powering the new Duster will be three engine options: a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine sourced from Kiger for the lower variants, a 1.3-litre turbo petrol sourced from Dialmer for the mid-spec and top-spec variants, and a 1.8-litre strong hybrid petrol engine that will debut around Diwali.
The prices of the 1.0-litre and the 1.3-litre engine variants will be revealed on March 17, while the 1.8-litre strong hybrid engine will debut by Diwali 2026. The 1.0-litre engine will be offered with a 6-speed manual and a CVT automatic transmission option, while the 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine will be offered with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed wet dual-clutch transmission.
While the 1.0-litre engine is a three-cylinder unit that makes 100 bhp, the 1.3-litre engine is rated for 160 bhp and 280 Nm, which makes it the most powerful engine in the segment.
We suspect the launch price of the new Duster will be around Rs 11-20 lakh. It will rival the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and the Tata Sierra.
