Mahindra has updated the XEV 9S with a new Custom Mode after it received feedback from the media. The new mode allows customisation of multiple aspects of the EV to ensure a planted ride. Read how this mode works below.

What is the Custom Mode on the Mahindra XEV 9S?
After Mahindra conducted the pre-production test drive of the XEV 9S, the brand received mixed feedback regarding the suspension of the EV. Many test drivers reported that the EV underwent consistent pitching at high speeds, which makes it less confident to drive.
However, Mahindra has released a fix for this issue. A new Custom Mode will now come as standard on the new deliveries, while the cars already sold can be updated with this mode by using the OTA update, which is expected to be released soon.
Mind you, this mode has been released only for the Pack Three variants, which get the adaptive dampers as standard. The Pack One and Pack Two variants come equipped with the standard dampers, which can not be controlled electronically.
As per the details, users can fiddle with Custom Mode and individually adjust the steering, suspension, powertrain, climate control, and other settings. The individual settings can have various combinations, which can allow for a firm ride with softer steering wheel, and so on.
