A latest RTI has revealed the official mileage figures of the two engine options on the new Tata Sierra SUV. The mileage figures have certainly raised curiosity among the new buyers. Check out the complete details about it below.

Official mileage of the new Tata Sierra revealed
Tata Motors relaunched the new-gen Sierra with a big marketing campaign. The new mid-size SUV did create a stir among rivals like the new Kia Seltos, with its size, build quality, and a premium cabin experience. However, the brand did not reveal its official mileage figures until now.
An RTI placed by an ‘X’ user named Vahan Warta has unveiled the official mileage figures of the turbo engine options of the Sierra. In response to the RTI, ARAI revealed the following figures:
- 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol – Mileage certificate yet to be issued
- 1.5-litre TGDi turbo petrol – 13.5 km/l
- 1.5-litre Kyrojet turbo diesel – 18.8 km/l
These figures are definitely not up to the mark, especially considering the rivals like the Hyundai Creta and the Toyota Hyryder, which offer higher claimed mileage figures. Moreover, the Sierra was marketed with an India Book of Records 29.9 km/l mileage for the Hyperion (naturally-aspirated) petrol engine option.
With that said, Tata Motors is now focusing on increasing production to meet the high demand for the Sierra. Despite the complete specifications not being unveiled, Tata Motors has received more than 1 lakh bookings for the new Sierra since launch, and the brand has a delivery schedule to meet.
