100 octane petrol becomes expensive in Delhi
The latest price hike of the 100 octane petrol has been recorded in Delhi, where the premium high-quality fuel went to Rs 160/litre, making a big jump of Rs 11/litre from the previously recorded price. This is the biggest hike that the 100 octane fuel has received ever.
Moreover, the 95 octane petrol, which is a popular fuel choice among car enthusiasts and performance bike owners, had also received a hike of Rs 2.35/litre on March 20, 2026. With that said, we believe that these rates are not coming down until or unless the international conflict gets resolved at the earliest.
The 100 octane fuel is primarily used by high-performance engines, which generally include tuned cars, supercars, or superbikes. It is also used for racing events, like the track days or championships that require high-performance modified vehicles.
There has been no change in the regular petrol or diesel. However, this can be changed in the future if the international conflict prevails. Meanwhile, the private players like Shell and Nayara have hiked the fuel prices to sustain the losses incurred due to the war situation.
