Triumph Bonneville 400: Everything we know so far
While there have been speculations for months that Triumph is working on a cruiser bike, the near-production version of this elusive model has surfaced online from the UK. Likely to be called the Bonneville 400, it is going to be the latest rival of the segment-leading Royal Enfield Classic 350.
Interestingly, Triumph has downsized the 400cc engine to the 350cc unit to avail the tax benefits, the latter of which will debut on April 6, 2026. We believe that the same engine will power the Bonneville 400, while the upcoming cruiser will bear the 400 nameplate for marketing reasons.
Other key features that we noticed in the spy images include the wired spoke rims, telescopic front suspension, dual rear shockers, a single-piece seat, an oval headlamp, an offset round speedometer, round mirrors, a round taillight, oval indicators, a big bash plate for the engine, and a sculpted fuel tank.
Technically, it is expected to feature the 349.16cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that is likely to offer 35-40 bhp and 30-35 Nm of expected power and torque. The 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch is expected to be used as it is.
Online speculations hint that the Bonneville 400 could hit the production line by mid-2026, with its global reveal taking place in India by June 2026. It could be priced around Rs 2-2.25 lakh.
