Kia Connect crosses 1 lakh renewals in India

Key highlights

  • Kia India crosses 1 lakh paid Kia Connect renewals
  • Over 30% retention rate signals strong customer trust
  • Connected ecosystem now offers 100+ features across key usability areas

Kia India has crossed 1 lakh paid renewals for its Kia Connect platform. That might sound like a simple number, but it tells a deeper story. People are not just trying connected features anymore. They are choosing to pay for them.

From free feature to paid habit

Kia Connect started life as a bundled offering. You got it free for a few years, used it occasionally, and moved on. That is no longer the case. More than 30% of users are now renewing their subscriptions after the complimentary period ends. That is a strong number in a market where people think twice before paying for anything extra. It shows that connected tech is becoming part of daily driving.

What keeps users hooked

The platform now offers over 100 features, and most of them are actually useful. You get remote access to your car, real-time diagnostics, navigation support, safety alerts, and vehicle tracking. These are not headline features. These are things you end up using more often than you expect.

Kia has also added layers over time. Smartwatch connectivity, Alexa integration, OTA updates, and even digital key functionality.

Evolution has been steady

Kia introduced this system back in 2019 as UVO. Since then, it has evolved into Kia Connect and now into its newer 2.0 version. The updates have been consistent. This approach seems to be working. The brand now has over 5 lakh connected cars on Indian roads, which gives it a serious data and usage advantage.

Flexible pricing helps adoption

Kia has also kept pricing relatively accessible. Subscription plans start from Rs 1,890 and go up depending on the level of features and duration. There are standalone, basic, and premium options, with one-year to three-year plans. That flexibility plays a big role in retention. Users can choose what they need instead of paying for everything.

Bigger play in connected mobility

This milestone is not just about subscriptions. It reflects Kia’s larger push towards connected mobility. Features like predictive alerts, remote diagnostics, and real-time monitoring are slowly becoming essential, not optional.

Kia is also tying this into customer engagement programs and sustainability initiatives, which adds another layer to the ownership experience.
