Volkswagen Taigun facelift ARAI mileage details
The new 2026 Taigun facelift is now available for pre-bookings across India. With the unveiling of the updated model, Volkswagen has also revealed the ARAI-claimed fuel economy figures of the Taigun facelift. These are as follows:
- 1.0 TSI 6-speed manual – 19.98 km/
- 1.0 TSI 8-speed torque converter automatic – 19.54 km/l
- 1.5 TSI 7-speed DSG automatic – 18.85 km/l
These figures are nearly identical to the Skoda Kushaq facelift, its sibling model, which was also launched recently in India. With the new Taigun, Volkswagen has replaced the 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox on the 1.0 TSI engine option with a new 8-speed torque converter automatic. The brand claims that this gearbox is more efficient and smoother to drive.
Meanwhile, the more powerful 1.5 TSI engine, which belongs to the Evo series, is now available only with a 7-speed DQ200 DSG automatic transmission. This engine features the twin cylinder deactivation technology, which makes it efficient on the highway even at triple-digit speeds.
The new Taigun features updated styling, including a new front fascia with the new connected LED lights, an illuminated VW logo, a new bumper, new R17 alloy wheel design, and new rear connected LED lights with an illuminated logo.
On the inside, it features a bigger 10-inch touchscreen infotainment, a new digital instrument console, and new features like a panoramic sunroof, electric and ventilated front seats, wireless charging, ambient lighting, and more.
The official price list of the Taigun facelift is yet to be revealed.
