Bajaj Auto Ltd has introduced the new Dominar 400 with a smaller 350cc engine. The new engine has also led to a massive price reduction for the sports tourer. Read all its details below.

2026 Bajaj Dominar 400: Everything you need to know
The new Dominar 400 is now available at Rs 2.03 lakh (ex-showroom) nationwide. The big price drop of Rs 37,000 for the 2026 model comes after the brand has downsized its engine.
Post the GST 2.0 tax revision, all two-wheelers above 350cc became expensive due to the tax rising from 18% to 40%. However, Bajaj absorbed the price hike for months and found a better solution by downsizing the engine capacity of the previous 373cc unit.
The new 349.13cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine has been achieved by reducing the stroke from 60 mm to 56.1 mm, redesigning the crankshaft, removing the engine immobiliser, and revamping the internal parts to achieve 40.04 bhp and 33.2 Nm. These figures are 0.8 bhp and 1.8 Nm less than the previous engine.
Apart from the engine specs, the complete motorcycle is unchanged in terms of design, features, and hardware. However, with the reduced engine capacity, it is now 3 kg lighter. The new Dominar 400 is available in two colours: Black and Green.
