Honda ZR-V Hybrid: What to expect?
The first teaser of the ZR-V SUV is out now. The teaser states the name of the upcoming SUV as “ZR-V e:HEV”, which clarifies that the hybrid version of the ZR-V mid-size SUV will be launched.
The launch has been scheduled for May 22, and the ZR-V will be brought to India as a CBU model. This means that it will be placed in the same category as the Skoda Kodiaq and Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line. The expected price of the ZR-V Hybrid in India is Rs 50 lakh.
In terms of the exterior design, the ZR-V packs a subtle, curvy, and elegant outlook. The SUV has a sporty roofline, while elements like the sleek LED taillights, L-shaped LED headlight DRLs, a streamlined front bumper, and dual-tone alloys make up for a plush road presence.
Since the ZR-V will be sold as a CBU, we expect it to be offered as it is as the international model. Hence, it will offer a spacious cabin with high-quality materials, top fit and finish, and features like the floating infotainment screen, a digital driver console, ADAS safety, wireless charging, ventilated seats, and more.
The talking point of the ZR-V will be its 2.0-litre four-cylinder hybrid engine. This engine will power the front wheels via an e-CVT gearbox, while offering 180 bhp and 240 Nm. However, its self-charging hybrid setup will offer high fuel economy, which is expected to attract more buyers who use the car inside the city.
Along the ZR-V, Honda will also launch the much-awaited City facelift on May 22. Stay tuned for more details.
