MG Majestor: Everything to know before buying
The upcoming Majestor SUV has hit the production line, hinting at its near launch. Although the brand has not revealed the exact launch timeline for it, we suspect that the detailed price list could be revealed in the coming weeks.
The Majestor SUV is based on the Gloster itself, but it is a beefed-up version in every sense. First, it gets a new exterior design, especially the front, which is completely new and more upright with the new grille, vertical LED headlamps, sharp daytime running lights, and a rugged bumper.
Other updates on the outside include the new alloy wheels, new colour schemes, revised LED taillights, a new rear bumper, and Majestor lettering on the tailgate. In terms of size, the Majestor is more or less equivalent to the Gloster.
The cabin is where most buyers would fall in love with it. It packs a redesigned dashboard, a new steering wheel, and a 12.3-inch infotainment screen with wireless connectivity and features like wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless charging with a cooling pad, 4WD traction modes, drive modes, a Level 2 ADAS safety suite, an electric tailgate, a panoramic sunroof, 12-way powered front seats, ventilated and heated seats, etc.
The Majestor will be offered with 6- and 7-seater options, making it suitable for chauffeur-driven buyers as well. Meanwhile, the SUV gets powered by the Setllantis-sourced 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine, making 213 bhp and 478 Nm. It is paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
Since it will be the new flagship car of the brand upon launch, we suspect it will be priced in the same ballpark as the Toyotal Fortuner Legender.
