Everything you should know about the 2026 Tata Tiago EV
What is new on the exterior?
The all-new Tiago EV is here, and it packs a lot of changes than ever before. First, the exterior design is all new. The front now features a set of sharp, squared-off LED lights with eyebrow daytime running LEDs placed on the top. Thankfully, there is no connecting strip, and the car does look good in person.
While this is not our review, we certainly appreciate the new nose with a closed grille and a new bumper with air vents positioned in the lower half. The side profile now packs a set of new 15-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and redesigned mirrors with a 360-degree camera setup.
Moving to the rear, you will find a blacked-out connected LED taillight setup with triple LED fin-like stripes that act as main tail lamps. The boot and bumper have also undergone a massive redesign, and the overall shape of the car looks much more upmarket. The updated Tiago EV is available in six colours: Dehradun Dew, Sobo Surge, Pangong Pulse, Pristine White, Pure Grey, and Matheran Monsoon.
What is new on the interior?
If you were not a fan of the previous Tiago EV’s interior, the new one will definitely attract you with its premium and luxurious finishing. The dashboard is now all-new, featuring a sloping design with dual-tone texture.
Embedded in the dashboard are the new 10.25-inch infotainment screen and a standalone digital driver console, which replaces the outgoing conventional instrument panel. These smart screens are accentuated by the new two-spoke steering wheel with a matt finish and Tata.EV logo.
Tata has also redesigned the centre console, which now gets the new AC vents, a new rotary gearshifting knob, more storage spaces, a wireless charging pad, a centre armrest with rear AC vents and charging ports, and new door panels with new power window switches. The latter uses a toggle-type design, generally found on premium cars.
Adding to the list of new features are the wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a cooled glovebox, a 4-speaker sound system, automatic climate control, cruise control, a 360-degree parking camera with a dedicated physical button, and more.
What about the battery specs and range?
Tata has decided to keep the battery specifications unaltered on the new Tiago EV. Hence, it continues to be offered in two battery packs: a 19.2 kWh and a 24 kWh. The 19.2 kWh battery pack offers 61 bhp and 110 Nm, while the ARAI-claimed range is 226 km. Meanwhile, the 24 kWh battery pack offers 74 bhp and 114 Nm, while the range is 285 km.
The big update is that the 24 kWh battery variants now get a lifetime warranty on the battery. Moreover, it is also offered with the ‘Battery-as-a-Service’ option, where customers can pay Rs 2.60 per km, while the initial buying cost is just Rs 4.69 lakh.
