New Komaki MG Pro V and MG Pro+ electric scooters launched

Adding to its range of affordable electric scooters, Komaki has introduced two new models in the Indian market: MG Pro V and MG Pro+. Both scooters now feature full-metal body panels and the latest features. The MG Pro V is priced at Rs 73,999 (ex-showroom), while the MG Pro+ with a bigger battery and more range is priced at Rs 79,999 (ex-showroom).

Speaking of the details, both electric scooters essentially pack the same bodywork, features, and even colour options. The main difference between them is the battery size and the range. The MG Pro V is backed by a 2.2 kWh battery that offers a 90-100 km range, while the MG Pro+ gets a bigger 2.7 kWh battery that offers more than 150 km of range.

Komaki has not disclosed the power and torque output figures, but both models come equipped with a BLDC electric motor mounted on the hub. Komaki claims 60 km/h of top speed and 4 hours of charging time for both variants.

In terms of styling, both models use the sharp and well-proportioned bodywork. Both models get black alloy wheels, LED lighting, and a sleek design. The footboard area offers generous space for the rider’s legs, while the big single seat and the aluminium pillion grab handle make sure that the pillion gets utmost comfort.

Buyers can choose from four different colours: Black, Frost White, Garnet Red, and Metal Grey. The MG Pro scooters ride on a 12-inch front and a 10-inch rear wheel. Moreover, the front suspension is a telescopic unit, while the rear gets dual shock absorbers. In terms of braking, the front comes equipped with a single disc, while the rear gets a drum brake.

Features include a digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, SMS and call alerts, range metre, keyless ignition, anti-theft lock, and park assist. Both models also feature smartphone app connectivity, which users can use to check the battery health and other vitals.
