Ferrari has finally introduced a new drop-top convertible supercar in India. The new Amalfi Spider is now available for Rs 4.60 crore (ex-showroom), and it is based on the coupe avatar, but adds the “wind-in-hair” motoring experience.
Ferrari Amalfi Spider: Everything to know
The all-new Amalfi Spider looks absolutely fantastic. Ferrari knows exactly how to make convertible supercars that become iconic and timeless, and the new Amalfi Spider is one of those examples. It is basically the Amalfi, but with a convertible top.
The exterior styling of the Spider is identical to the coupe version. It gets a long, swooping bonnet with aerodynamic curves, which merges into the sleek LED lights, and a sharp front bumper design with aero dams built into its lower portion.
The side profile of the Amalfi Spider is also similar, as the 20-inch alloy wheels and the body lines are identical to the coupe sibling. However, the convertible top, after opening, makes it stand apart from the coupe version.
On the inside, it gets the iconic three-spoke Ferrari steering wheel, twin digital clusters, one 15.6-inch for the driver and one 8.8-inch for the passenger. The sports seats, the 10.25-inch infotainment screen, and features like Alcantara leather, wireless charging, Level 2 ADAS, etc, are all carried over from the coupe version.
The talking point is obviously its convertible top, which can be operated on the go, up to speeds of 60 km/h. It takes 13.5 seconds to open the convertible roof via a physical button control. Despite the added 86 kg weight, the convertible offers the exact same performance figures as its coupe sibling.
Powering the Amalfi Spider is the 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that produces 640 bhp and 760 Nm of power and torque. It is paired to an 8-speed DCT gearbox and does 0-100 km/h in 3.3 seconds.
The Amalfi Spider is now available across all Ferrari dealerships in India. Customers can also choose from a wide range of customisation options as per their taste.
