JSW MG Motor India has revised the prices of its popular mid-size crossover electric car, the Windsor. The new price revision has hiked the ex-showroom prices of all variants, where the base Excite variant has now become costlier by Rs 60,000.
The new price hike came into effect from July 1, 2026, across all dealerships in India. The new Excite variant will now cost you Rs 14.69 lakh (ex-showroom). Meanwhile, the Exclusive and Essence variants have now become costlier by Rs 46,900, while the Essence Pro variant is now pricier by Rs 39,000.
The range-topping Exclusive Pro variant has also witnessed a steep price hike of Rs 51,900, thus taking its ex-showroom price to Rs 17.89 lakh. Meanwhile, the brand has also revised the prices of the Commute variant, a trim that has been specifically crafted for commercial operators. The new Commute variant Windsor will not cost you Rs 75,000 more than the previous version. The latest ex-showroom price of the Windsor Commute is now Rs 14.24 lakh.
With that said, there have been no other changes or updates made to the EV. The Windsor happens to be one of the top-selling EVs in India, and a primary reason behind its popularity is its big interior space and comfortable ride quality. Additionally, the BaaS or the Battery-as-a-Service subscription option lowers its ex-showroom price substantially, thus attracting more buyers.
Speaking of the technical details, the Windsor EV is offered in two battery options: 38 kWh and 52.9 kWh. Both versions offer a maximum power output of 134 bhp and 200 Nm of maximum torque. However, the claimed range of the 38 kWh version is 332 km, while the 52.9 kWh variant can deliver up to 449 km on a full charge. Both versions support DC charging, which can juice it up from 0-80 per cent in 50-55 minutes.
