Key highlights
- Bajaj Auto has teased another new Pulsar classic ahead of its upcoming launches
- New-generation Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 150 are expected to be part of the product offensive
- Both motorcycles are expected to get major design, feature and powertrain updates
Bajaj Auto is clearly not done refreshing the Pulsar range. After rolling out updates across the portfolio, the company has now released another teaser carrying the message “Gear Up For What’s Next”, hinting at more new Pulsar motorcycles on the way.
While Bajaj hasn’t revealed the name of the motorcycle shown in the teaser, the company had already confirmed that it was working on two all-new Pulsars, one in the 125 cc segment and another in the 150 cc segment.
New Pulsar 125 and 150 on the way
Bajaj Auto had previously outlined plans to introduce an all-new 125 cc Pulsar and an all-new 150 cc Pulsar, along with several other updates to its motorcycle portfolio. The company said it planned to complete a major refresh of its domestic motorcycle range within roughly six weeks.
The new motorcycles are expected to bring new styling, additional electronics, updated features and improvements to their powertrains.
This is particularly important for the Pulsar 125. The current-generation motorcycle has been around for several years, and Bajaj appears ready to give it a more substantial makeover rather than simply adding another colour or graphics package.
Pulsar 125 could get a much bigger update
Test bikes believed to be the new Pulsar 125 have already been spotted with a noticeably different design. The motorcycle is expected to get a larger fuel tank, redesigned front end, sharper bodywork and a new tail section. A new exhaust routing and revised chassis have also been reported, suggesting that the changes could go beyond styling.
There could also be a significant technology upgrade, with reports pointing towards a new digital instrument cluster on the upcoming motorcycle.
A new Pulsar 150 is coming too
The 150cc motorcycle is arguably even more important for Bajaj. The Pulsar brand was originally built around the 150 cc segment, and Bajaj itself has acknowledged that the core 150-250 cc range remains central to the brand. The company has said the new 150 cc Pulsar will bring a fresh design, new features and improved powertrain performance.
Exact engine specifications for the new 125 cc and 150 cc motorcycles have not been officially revealed yet, so those figures will have to wait for the launch.
