Oben Electric has recorded its strongest monthly performance yet, registering 1,417 electric motorcycles in September 2026. The figure puts the Bengaluru-based manufacturer at the top of India’s electric motorcycle segment for the month, according to Vahan data.
For context, Vahan data reported on October 1 shows Revolt at 1,027 registrations and Ultraviolette at 536, placing Oben ahead of both manufacturers during the month. The achievement is significant because Oben’s claim is specifically for electric motorcycles, rather than the much larger electric two-wheeler category that also includes scooters.
Rorr Evo drives the growth
The Rorr Evo is at the centre of Oben’s recent sales momentum. The company describes it as a motorcycle-first product, with performance, design, technology, range and everyday usability taking priority, while the electric powertrain is positioned as the means of propulsion.
Oben says this approach is intended to appeal not only to existing EV customers but also to conventional motorcycle buyers evaluating an electric motorcycle on the same parameters as a petrol-powered model.
The company has not disclosed a model-wise split of the 1,417 registrations, so the exact contribution of the Rorr Evo cannot be quantified.
10,000th motorcycle rolls out
Oben has also crossed an important production milestone, rolling out its 10,000th electric motorcycle from its Bengaluru facility. The 3.5-acre plant has an annual production capacity of 1 lakh motorcycles, giving the company considerable headroom to scale production if demand continues to rise.
Oben also develops several key components in-house, including LFP batteries, motors, VCUs, chargers and proprietary software.
Retail network crosses 150 showrooms
The company now has 150+ showrooms and dedicated Oben Care service centres across 90+ cities in 18 states. This expanding network is expected to support sales, deliveries, test rides and after-sales service as its electric motorcycle volumes increase.
