Skoda has showcased the Epiq Sportline for the first time at the 2026 Paris Motor Show, introducing a sportier trim of its compact electric SUV. The new variant joins the Epiq family as the Czech carmaker expands its electric vehicle portfolio across different price and size segments.
The Epiq Sportline takes centre stage alongside the larger all-electric Peaq at Skoda’s exhibition stand. The brand is displaying 15 vehicles at the event, which runs from October 13 to 18, 2026, at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles.
Sportier styling for Skoda’s compact EV
The Epiq Sportline gets distinctive design details associated with Skoda’s Sportline models. While the company has not yet disclosed the complete equipment list, the variant is expected to feature a darker exterior treatment, sportier alloy wheels and a black-themed cabin, potentially with contrasting upholstery details.
The standard Epiq measures around 4.1 metres in length and uses Skoda’s Modern Solid design language. Its styling includes a Tech-Deck Face, T-shaped lighting signatures and clean body surfaces. The compact dimensions are paired with a claimed 475-litre boot, making the SUV suitable for everyday urban use.
Battery options and range
The standard Epiq is built on the Volkswagen Group’s MEB+ platform and uses a front-wheel-drive layout. It is available internationally with 38.5kWh and 55kWh battery packs, depending on the variant.
The entry-level Epiq 35 produces 116hp, while the Epiq 40 develops 135 hp. Both use the smaller battery and deliver a claimed range of around 310 km. The range-topping Epiq 55 produces 211 hp and 290 Nm, with a claimed range of up to 440 km on the WLTP cycle.
Skoda has not confirmed whether the Sportline will be offered exclusively with the larger battery or whether it will receive any mechanical changes. The focus appears to be on giving the compact EV a more dynamic appearance rather than fundamentally changing its character.
What about an India launch?
Skoda has not announced India-specific plans for the Epiq or the Sportline variant. The standard Epiq is positioned as the brand’s entry-level electric SUV in international markets, making it a potential candidate for India, although pricing, localisation and launch timing remain unconfirmed.
