Kia India has expanded its Assured Buyback Programme across its internal combustion engine (ICE), hybrid and electric vehicle portfolio. The programme aims to give buyers greater certainty about their vehicle’s future value and make upgrading to another car more predictable.
Eligible customers can secure an assured residual value of up to 75% for ICE models and up to 70% for electric vehicles after three years. The actual value will depend on the applicable programme terms and conditions.
The scheme addresses a key concern for new-car buyers: depreciation. While resale values can vary with market demand, vehicle condition and kilometres driven, an assured buyback arrangement offers a predefined value under an agreed set of conditions.
Multiple models and powertrains covered
The programme covers the Kia Sonet, Syros, Seltos, Carens, Carens Clavis and Sorento across applicable powertrain options. These include petrol, diesel, CNG, hybrid and electric models.
The tenure options vary by powertrain. ICE models can be enrolled for three, four or five years, while EV customers can choose three- or four-year plans.
Buyers can also select annual mileage limits of 10,000 km, 15,000 km or 20,000 km. The programme covers up to 1,00,000 km over the ownership period, allowing customers to choose a plan based on their driving habits.
How the assured buyback programme works
Customers can enrol through participating authorised Kia dealerships when purchasing a vehicle. At the end of the selected tenure, they can avail themselves of the assured buyback value in accordance with the programme agreement.
An important distinction is that the programme is independently administered by the relevant programme partner. Eligibility, valuation, settlement and other obligations are governed by the applicable agreement and terms. Kia facilitates access through its dealer network, but buyers should review the conditions before enrolling.
