- BMW F 450 RR sports bike revealed in the global market
- Shares the 420cc parallel-twin engine with the F 450 R
- India launch timeline has not been revealed yet
As predicted earlier, BMW Motorrad has introduced a fully faired sports bike based on the F 450 R naked streetfighter model. The new F 450 RR broke cover in the international market with an all-new design that is likely to be received radically worldwide.
The new F 450 RR boasts sharp design cues from the bigger S1000RR, but BMW engineers have deliberately kept the front fascia different. The front of the bike features a twin-pod projector LED headlight setup aligned vertically, which falls in line with the F 450 R.
However, like a typical middleweight sports bike, the F 450 RR packs an aggressive stance with a sculpted fuel tank, and bits like the front winglets, clip-on handlebar, rear-set footpegs for the rider, and an upright tail design all make it attractive.

BMW will be offering the F 450 RR in four variants globally: Base, Exclusive, M Sport, and M Sport with Innovation Package. Powering the F 450 RR is the same 420cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine as the F 450 R naked sibling. It offers 48 bhp and 43 Nm, while being paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The range-topping variants come with the Easy Ride Clutch (ERC), while the standard variant gets the slipper clutch as standard.

In terms of the hardware, the F 450 RR is closely similar to the F 450 R. It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels, gets an adjustable USD front suspension for the top variant, and a rear monoshock with preload adjustment, a quickshifter, a 6.5-inch colour TFT with Bluetooth and navigation support, three ride modes (rain, road, race), LED lights, a dual-channel ABS with switchable rear ABS, a six-axis IMU offering cruise control, lean-sensitive ABS, and more.

With that said, the new F 450 RR is expected to be launched in India by the end of the first quarter next year. Initially, it will be offered in Europe, later followed by the Indian market. As far as the price is concerned, the F 450 GS starts at Rs 4.95 lakh for the base variant. Therefore, the F 450 RR could be positioned around Rs 4.75-5 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base variant. It is likely to be launched alongside the F 450 R, which was introduced recently in the global market.
