After a long wait, Kawasaki is finally going to introduce a new affordable model to its Indian portfolio. The upcoming Z300 naked sports bike was recently showcased at a dealership in Bengaluru ahead of its official price announcement and launch on October 20, 2026.
Kawasaki Z300: Everything we know so far
The Z300 will be positioned in India as a new affordable ‘Z’ series streetfighter model. Kawasaki has taken the inspiration for the Z300 from its trademark Sugomi design language that is also used on the popular Z900. The showcased bikes were in two colours, featuring blue and black and green and black dual-tone colourways.
As far as the styling is concerned, the Z300 features an upright yet committed riding posture for the rider. The fascia gets the twin-pod LED headlight setup that looks like a miniature setup of the Z900. Additionally, the bike has an upright tail section, split seats, a sculpted fuel tank, and a two-in-one exhaust with silver plating.
The features list on the Z300 will include a coloured TFT screen, Bluetooth connectivity, navigation support, a switchable dual-channel ABS, LED lights, ride modes, traction modes, etc. While its complete specifications will be revealed alongside the launch, the brand has revealed that the Z300 will be powered by the 296cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine similar to the Ninja 300.
It will offer 39 bhp and 26.1 Nm, while being paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The hardware setup of the Z300 includes the RSU telescopic front forks, a preload-adjustable rear monoshock suspension, 17-inch alloy wheels, petal disc brakes, and more.
With that said, the pre-bookings are set to commence on October 19, while the price announcement and specifications will be revealed on October 20, 2026. The new Z300 will take on rivals like the KTM 390 Duke and the TVS Apache RTR 310.
