TVS Motor Company is gearing up to launch the new Paddock premium dealership chain in India. The new Paddock premium dealerships will sell the high-capacity premium TVS models and Norton models alongside.
As per our sources, TVS is gearing up to launch the first set of Paddock dealerships by the Diwali festive season next month. The prime focus of these showrooms will be to elevate the customer buying and servicing experience. Moreover, these showrooms will segregate premium customers, which is likely to impact the brand image positively.
However, the interesting bit will be the availability of the Norton models via these showrooms. TVS will not only sell but also display and put test-ride models of the Norton range in these showrooms. Currently, the Norton Atlas dual-sport motorcycle is the only Norton model available in India. But the company aims to launch new models soon, including the flagship Manx R sports bike.
As far as the other models are concerned, TVS will list the Apache RTR 310, RR 310, and the upcoming 450 range that will be based on BMW’s co-developed 450 range. The latter is based on a new 420cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that makes 48 bhp. This same engine is likely to be used on the upcoming TVS models. TVS could continue the name chronology for the 450 range, which is likely to include the Apache nameplate and the ‘RTR’ and ‘RR’ suffixes.
More details regarding the Paddock premium dealerships will surface in the coming days. TVS will most likely introduce the new Paddock showrooms in the tier-1 cities initially, later followed by tier-2 cities. These showrooms are unlikely to be launched in tier-3 cities, sub-urban areas, and rural areas.
