Key highlights
- Norton trademarks three new names
- Roven, Inter, and Avelon models registered
- Norton will launch its first bike in India by Diwali 2026
TVS-owned British cult motorcycle brand Norton has recently trademarked three new names in the international market. These names are likely to include the brand’s first-ever single-cylinder bike that could also reach to the Indian shores in the coming years.
Three new Norton bikes coming soon?
As per the latest trademark documents, Norton has registered the names Roven, Inter, and Avelon. These names hint that the brand is cooking up a range of new models for the global market.
However, the trademarks do not necessarily confirm that new models will launch. When TVS overtook the brand in 2020, it immediately registered six model names. Hence, the latest patent could also be a similar tactic to protect the intellectual property rights of the brand’s upcoming or reserved models for the future.
However, a few online rumours hint that the TVS-backed brand could be developing a new single-cylinder premium motorcycle for the global market. This single-cylinder model could be a retro-roadster, which can be positioned against models like the Honda CB500 and the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650.
While the details regarding this engine or motorcycle are unavailable, we firmly believe that the brand is more focused than ever, and a range of models is lined up for the future launch.
When will Norton bikes launch in India?
TVS will launch the Norton range in India via a premium dealership network called Paddock. The Paddock showrooms are expected to be introduced by Diwali festive season next month. The first model to launch will be the Atlas adventure-tourer, which will be followed by Manx sports bike.
