TVS Motor Company has unveiled the new RTR 125 LC at EICMA 2026 in Milan. The motorcycle is a new addition to the brand’s performance-oriented RTR family and is aimed at younger riders and those entering the sports motorcycle segment in Europe.
The interesting bit is that this isn’t just another commuter-focused 125cc motorcycle. The RTR 125 LC gets a liquid-cooled engine, a six-speed gearbox and hardware that gives it a more serious sporting intent.
Powertrain
Power comes from a 125 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 14.7 hp at 9,000 rpm and 12 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm. The motor is paired with a six-speed gearbox and gets a slip-and-assist clutch.
TVS has also developed a new tubular trellis frame for the motorcycle, along with a cast aluminium swingarm. Suspension duties are handled by a 41mm KYB upside-down fork at the front and a KYB monoshock at the rear.
The RTR 125 LC rides on a 17-inch front wheel with a 100/80 tyre and a wider 140/70-section rear tyre. Braking hardware comes from ByBre, with a 300 mm front disc and a 240 mm rear disc. Dual-channel ABS is standard.
New features
The motorcycle also gets a fairly comprehensive technology package for its class. A 5-inch TFT instrument console supports full-screen map mirroring, while Bluetooth and smartphone connectivity are part of the standard equipment. TVS has also equipped it with multiple riding modes.
The RTR 125 LC is designed around Europe’s A1 motorcycle licence category, making it relevant to new riders in the region. It will join TVS’s growing international motorcycle portfolio, which already includes the RTR 310, RR 310, Ronin and RTX 300.
India launch
For now, TVS has not announced pricing or availability timelines for the RTR 125 LC. The motorcycle has been unveiled with Europe in mind, and there is no official confirmation of an India launch.
