Honda has expanded its adventure scooter family with the unveiling of the new ADV125 at EICMA 2026. Positioned below the ADV160 and ADV350, the new scooter brings the rugged styling of its larger siblings to the 125 cc segment. It is primarily aimed at urban riders and European A1 licence holders, with a feature list that makes it more than just a regular city scooter dressed up in adventure-inspired styling.

Powertrain

Powering the ADV125 is a 125 cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder eSP+ engine with a four-valve SOHC layout. It produces 12.5 PS at 8,750 rpm and 11.7 Nm at 6,500 rpm, and is paired with an automatic transmission.

Honda claims a top speed of 97 kmph and a cruising speed of around 90 kmph. The scooter also promises decent efficiency, with a claimed fuel economy of 47.6 kmpl under the WMTC test cycle. Its 8.1-litre fuel tank translates to a claimed range of approximately 385 km.

The engine gets Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), PGM-FI fuel injection and an Idling Stop System. A brushless ACG starter is also part of the package.

Styling and hardware

The ADV125 follows the design language of Honda’s larger adventure scooters, with sharp bodywork, dual LED headlamps with integrated DRLs, a tall adjustable windscreen and a stepped seat. The windscreen offers five adjustment positions, while block-pattern tubeless tyres add to its rugged appeal.

It is built around a tubular steel frame and gets telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers. The 14-inch front and 13-inch rear wheels are shod with 110/80 and 130/70 section tyres, respectively. Braking is handled by 240 mm front and 220 mm rear discs, with single-channel ABS.

Ground clearance stands at 165 mm, while the seat height is 780 mm. Practicality is another strong point, with 29 litres of underseat storage and an additional 2-litre front glovebox.

Tech

The ADV125 gets a 5-inch colour TFT instrument console with Honda RoadSync connectivity. Riders can access navigation, messages and music controls through their smartphone. Other features include a Honda Smart Key with keyless ignition, anti-theft and answer-back functions, along with a USB Type-C charging port.

Honda will also offer accessories such as heated grips, a security buzzer and a rear carrier with a 40-litre top box. Four colour options have been announced: Pearl Falcon Grey, Pearl Cool White, Matte Cynos Gray Metallic and Matte Pearl Diaspro Red.

India launch

Honda has not announced pricing or an India launch timeline for the ADV125. Its current positioning is primarily focused on European markets, where it caters to riders looking for a more adventurous alternative to conventional 125 cc scooters.
