BMW launches the all-new BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport Pro in India

Key highlights

  • New range-topping X3 variant launched at INR 74.50 lakh ex-showroom with upgraded performance and sharper design.
  • 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine now produces 258 hp with a 48V mild-hybrid system and AWD.
  • BMW positions it as the quickest X3 currently on sale in India with a claimed 0–100 km/h sprint in 6.3 seconds.

BMW India has added more muscle and more attitude to its midsize luxury SUV lineup. The new X3 30 xDrive M Sport Pro sits at the top of the X3 range and targets buyers who want everyday comfort without giving up driving excitement.

BMW says this new version brings extra power and a stronger sporting character. It also strengthens the X3’s fight against rivals such as the Mercedes-Benz GLC, Audi Q5 and Volvo XC60 in the premium SUV segment.

Performance

Under the bonnet sits a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system. Output stands at 258 hp and 400 Nm of torque. Power goes to all four wheels through an 8-speed automatic gearbox and BMW’s xDrive all-wheel-drive setup.

BMW claims a 0–100 km/h time of 6.3 seconds, making this the quickest X3 sold in India right now.

BMW clearly wants the X3 to feel like a driver’s SUV rather than just another luxury box on wheels. The mild-hybrid setup also promises smoother response in city traffic and improved efficiency during relaxed driving.

Design tweaks

The visual upgrades are subtle but effective. The M Sport Pro package adds a darker and sportier stance. You get a redesigned grille with illumination, smoked lighting elements and larger 20-inch alloy wheels. Red brake calipers peek through the spokes to remind everyone that this is the sportier one in the family.

Inside, BMW keeps the cabin clean but adds the right amount of flair. M seat belts, fresh soft-touch materials and sportier detailing help separate it from the standard trims. Feature highlights include a panoramic glass roof, a premium sound system, powered sport seats, a 360-degree camera and a fully digital cockpit.

With this launch, BMW adds a stronger performance story to the X3 lineup. The brand already has strong driving credentials, and this variant reinforces that image.
