Brixton Storr 500 won’t launch at India Bike Week

Key highlights

  • Brixton has confirmed that the Storr 500 will not launch at India Bike Week.
  • The company is still working on localisation and pricing strategy for India.
  • The adventure motorcycle is now expected to debut sometime in 2025.

The Brixton Storr 500 was widely expected to make its grand India entry at India Bike Week, but the company has now confirmed that the launch will not happen at the festival. While the bike will likely be showcased in some form, the official market roll-out is still a few months away. That puts the Storr 500’s India arrival into 2025, shifting expectations for one of the most talked-about midsize ADVs of the year.

Why the move

Brixton is taking a cautious approach with the Indian market. The brand wants to finalise localisation before announcing a launch date. Local sourcing plays a major role in how competitively they can price the motorcycle, and without it, the Storr 500 risks landing in premium territory where rivals like the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, KTM 390 Adventure, and BMW G 310 GS already fight hard for attention.

Powertrain

The Storr 500 is built around a 486 cc parallel-twin engine that makes around 47 hp and 45 Nm in global-spec trims. It has a rugged stance, long-travel suspension, a tall windscreen, and a purposeful ADV look that instantly tells you this thing was designed for kilometres rather than coffee shop posing. It is a proper long-distance machine on paper, which is exactly why the delay stings for many enthusiasts.

However, Brixton seems focused on avoiding a rushed launch. The brand wants to ensure smoother dealer operations, better aftersales preparedness, and a stable supply chain before committing to deliveries. Considering that many global manufacturers underestimate India’s pricing sensitivity, Brixton’s slow and steady method might actually help the Storr 500 land in the sweet spot when it finally arrives.
