Classic Legends-owned cult British motorcycle brand, BSA, has unveiled two new colourways for the Goldstar 650 in the UK market. These new colourways are called Birmingham Blue and Brooklands Black, and both of these pay homage to the brand’s UK history and yesteryear.
The Birmingham Blue packs a beautiful shade of glossy dark blue, which is finished with silver, chrome-like stripes on the fuel tank, including a similar textured BSA badge on the fuel tank and side boxes. Meanwhile, the headlight uses a chrome bezel, while the engine casing has a brushed aluminium highlight. The rest of the mechanical bits, like the engine, exhaust, and spoked rims, are painted in matte black.
On the other hand, the Brooklands Black shade is inspired by the retro colourways. It features chrome plating on the top half of the fuel tank and on both fenders. Meanwhile, the lower half of the fuel tank and the side boxes are painted in gloss black. To top the retro charm, it uses chrome spoked rims, a brushed aluminium exhaust, and a silver engine casing. This colourway also packs chrome mirrors and silver levers.
Apart from these visual changes, both of these colourways are exactly the same as the Indian-spec model. The Goldstar 650 is a retro roadster motorcycle that has been designed for relaxed countryside cruising. It is powered by a 649cc single-cylinder air/oil-cooled engine that packs 45 bhp of power, and it is paired with a 5-speed gearbox and a slipper clutch.
It is priced at Rs 3.37 lakh onwards in India (ex-showroom), and it rivals the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. While the company has not revealed its plans for the Indian market, we believe that these colours could be launched in India around the coming festive season.
