BMW Motorrad has announced the launch of its latest entry-level GS adventure motorcycle in India on April 23. The new F 450 GS will be positioned as a premium mid-size ADV, and we have all the information you need to know about it below.

BMW F 450 GS: Everything to know before buying
After a long wait, BMW has finally revealed the launch date of the F 450 GS in India. The new ADV will debut on April 23, and it is expected to be sold in four variants: Basic, Exclusive, Sport, and GS Trophy, the latter of which will offer a premium electronic suite and off-road hardware like the tubeless spoke rims, MT tyres, etc.
The F 450 GS has been developed by BMW Motorrad completely, but it will be manufactured at Hosur-based production plant of TVS. Therefore, it is likely to be offered around a price tag of Rs 4.5-5 lakh due to the localisation.
Meanwhile, the bike was already unveiled at the EICMA 2025, where it showcased its comfortable, touring-oriented riding posture, and a design that takes the inspiration from the range-topping GS 1300.
Powering the F 450 GS is an all-new 420cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled motor that makes 48 bhp and 43 Nm. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox that comes with a slipper clutch and a bi-directional quickshifter.
In terms of the hardware, the F 450 GS features a trellis frame that is suspended on the USD forks at the front and an adjustable monoshock at the rear. The basic and road-oriented variants of the ADV rides on a 17-inch alloy wheel setup, while the off-road-spec variants ride on 19-inch front and a 17-inch rear wheel setup.
The top-spec GS Trophy variant is packed with a host of electronic aids, including the heated grips, siwtchable ABS, traction modes, off-road mode, riding modes, adjustable windscreen, and more.
