Ducati Panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2 recalled – Here’s why!
Following a report released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, USA, Ducati has recalled 1,061 units of the Panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2 in the United States. The recall is due to the issue reported with the incorrect wire positioning in the ABS fuse boxes by the supplier, which can result in a crash.
As per the revealed details, the 25A fuse box for the ABS pump and the 10A fuse box for the ABS control unit have been reversed wired by the supplier during the wiring assembly. In simpler words, the wiring should have been the other way around.
So, what’s the problem? The problem is that during the prolonged hard braking, the ABS pump that is protected by the 10A fuse box can explode and lead to the locking of tyres, which can further lead to a crash. But, before this happens, an ABS error will display on the TFT console of these models, triggering the ABS malfunction warning.
Moreover, the affected units have been manufactured from 3 June 2025, which might include a few units in India as well. Hence, if own a Panigale V2 or a Streetfighter V2, please make sure to connect with your nearest Ducati workshop to check the wiring position.
