What makes the Ducati Panigale V4 R special?
Ducati has introduced its most special and powerful Panigale V4 R in India at an eye-watering price of Rs 84.99 lakh (ex-showroom). This special, flagship superbike has taken its inspiration from the World Superbike Ducati factory racing motorcycles.
With a whopping price tag, the first Panigale V4 R in India has already been sold to a customer in Chennai on January 1, 2026. Now, speaking of the special details, it is equipped with the 998cc, Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine that can spin at 16,500 rpm in the sixth gear.
This powerful engine develops 232.6 bhp with the racing exhaust, while Ducati Corse Performance oil can extend this figure to 236.6 bhp. The special bit is the Ducati Racing Gearbox, which has the neutral gear placed at the lowest.
This gearbox is usually seen on the motorsport racing motorcycles, so that the rider can shift the gears mid-corner, without touching their toe on the tarmac or hitting false neutral during hard braking. With this setup, it can touch 330 km/h top speed.
Additionally, it is loaded with the Ducati Sidepods, which create a ground effect at high lean angles, eventually raising the tyre grip and supporting the high corner speeds. Moreover, the larger wing develops 25% more downforce at 270 km/h compared to the previous model.
Meanwhile, the electronics suite on the Panigale V4 R is also special. It is loaded with the Ducati Vehicle Observer that works along with the Race Brake Control to let the rider use more rear brake while entering the corner. Additionally, it gets a 6.9-inch colour TFT console with a Grip Meter that displays the available trye grip in real-time.
Ducati has not revealed how many bikes are destined for India, but it does come with the numbered plate embedded on the steering damper.
