- Hero Xpulse 150 revealed with an air/oil-cooled engine
- Rides on a 19-inch front and a 17-inch rear wheel
- Likely built for the Latin American market
Hero MotoCorp has a surprise for everyone at the EICMA 2026. The brand not only revealed the new flagship Xpulse 450, but it also displayed a new Xpulse 150 iteration.
This smaller Xpulse is powered by a 149cc single-cylinder air/oil-cooled engine that makes 12.2 bhp and 12.8 Nm, and is paired with a 5-speed gearbox. Interestingly, the showcased bike had a carburettor fuel system, which is awkward for a 2026 motorcycle. However, the engine does have a kick-starter, which makes it durable and reliable to use.
The Xpulse 150 tips at just 141.5 kg, which makes it superbly agile to handle. However, the 826 mm seat height and 220 mm ground clearance could be a problem for short riders.
With that said, the bike gets the ADV-styled look with long-travel front telescopic suspension and a monoshock at the rear. It rides on a 19-inch front and a 17-inch rear tube-type spoked wheel setup, which further adds to its reliability.
It also gets the split-styled headlamp and a tall windscreen, which certifies its touring capabilities. The bike also has a luggage carrier plate mounted on the tail section.
Will it come to India?
Hero currently offers the Xpulse 200 4V and Xpulse 210 in India. The brand also unveiled the bigger Xpulse 450 at EICMA, which is powered by a 421cc liquid-cooled engine.
While the Xpulse 450 makes more sense for the Indian market, the need for a 150cc iteration is not justified. The Xpulse 200 4V does that job just right for Indian consumers.
However, Hero also has a large fanbase in Latin America. Mind you, the Latin American market is a sucker for the dual-sport small-capacity motorcycles.
We believe that this model will specifically target the Latin American buyers. With its simple mechanical setup, the Xpulse 150 will compete with the likes of the Honda XR150L.
