Key highlights
- Honda CB300R gets a INR 21,000 price cut, now at INR 2.19 lakh (ex-showroom).
- The drop follows GST 2.0 revisions for sub-350cc bikes.
- Puts the CB300R in a sweeter spot against the KTM 250 Duke, Apache RTR 310, and Triumph Speed 400.
Honda has quietly done something every enthusiast was waiting for, they’ve trimmed the CB300R’s price by a neat INR 21,000. The neo-retro streetfighter now comes in at INR 2.19 lakh (ex-showroom), its lowest point since the BS6 era.
The move follows GST 2.0’s revised tax structure for sub-350cc motorcycles, and Honda has passed on the entire benefit to buyers. Suddenly, the CB300R feels like a much stronger contender in the 300cc playground.
What you’re actually getting for the money
The spec sheet hasn’t changed, but it didn’t need to. You still get:
- 286cc liquid-cooled single, putting out 31 hp and 27.5 Nm
- 6-speed gearbox with assist & slipper clutch
- Golden USD forks and a monoshock
- Dual-channel ABS with traction control
- Fully digital LCD with Bluetooth
And of course, the same clean café-racer-inspired design—round LED headlamp, sculpted tank, and a tail section that screams minimalism. It’s light, nimble, and packs just enough grunt to keep weekends interesting.
How it stacks up now
At the new price, here’s how the CB300R looks against its rivals:
Model |
Price (INR , ex-showroom) |
Honda CB300R |
INR 2.19 lakh |
KTM 250 Duke |
INR 2.12 lakh |
TVS Apache RTR 310 |
INR 2.21–INR 2.87 lakh |
Triumph Speed 400 |
INR 2.50 lakh |
That puts the Honda in a very sweet spot, premium enough to feel special, cheaper than the Triumph, and way less polarizing than the Apache.
Our thoughts
The CB300R always had the looks and the refinement, but now it’s also got the sticker price to back it up. It’s that quiet kid in class who suddenly aces the test and gets noticed. Honestly, at INR 2.19 lakh, it feels like a no-brainer for riders who want a stylish yet practical upgrade.
