Honda CBR500R Four engine specifications details

The new CBR500R Four will be powered by a 502cc, inline-four, liquid-cooled engine that will offer a peak power of 70.8 bhp. These details have leaked through the type-approval documents of the bike in China.

The upcoming sportsbike might not be as powerful as the segment rivals in China, like the CFMotor 500SR Voom, which is powered by the 499cc inline-four engine that makes 77.8 bhp, but Honda seems to be concentrating on making its everyday usability with progressive performance. Additionally, supporting this performance is its light kerb weight of 186 kg that will make it agile for city and traffic riding conditions.

Honda has already unveiled the design of the CBR500R Four, as the sportsbike follows the international design language of the brand for sportsbikes. It has an aggressive front fascia with a committed riding posture and a raised tail design with sleek panels.

Honda will debut the new CBR500R Four in China initially, whilst the brand had previously confirmed that it will be launched in other international markets, like Europe, later. However, we suspect that it will not come to India anytime soon.
