- New TFT variant priced at ₹1.78 lakh, sits above the existing base model
KTM has quietly but confidently upgraded the Duke 160 in India. The brand has introduced a new variant that brings a full-size 5-inch colour TFT display to its smallest Duke sold here. This is not a cosmetic update. It is a proper tech upgrade that changes how the bike feels to live with every day.
New variant
The new TFT-equipped KTM Duke 160 is priced at INR1.78 lakh ex-showroom Delhi. The existing base variant continues at INR 1.70 lakh. That price gap tells you this is aimed at buyers who want more than just sharp styling and quick acceleration. They want features that make daily riding easier and cooler.
Features
The highlight is the new 5-inch colour TFT display. KTM has lifted this unit from the Gen 3 KTM 390 Duke. It uses bonded glass and offers crisp visuals even under harsh sunlight. The interface feels modern and clean. More importantly, it works fast. No lag. No confusion.
This screen brings full Bluetooth connectivity through the KTM My Ride app. Riders get turn-by-turn navigation displayed directly on the console. No phone mounts needed. Incoming call alerts show up on the screen. Riders can accept or reject calls using the switchgear. Outgoing calls stay locked out for safety, which is a good call.
Music control also comes built in. Pair a Bluetooth helmet headset and the bike lets you switch tracks and control volume from the handlebar. The song info shows up on the TFT. It feels like a premium feature, because it is one.
KTM has also updated the switchgear to match the new screen. The left handlebar now gets a four-way menu switch. It feels intuitive and easy to use while riding. Even first-time KTM owners should feel at home within minutes.
The TFT also unlocks Supermoto ABS mode. This allows riders to disengage rear wheel ABS while keeping the front active. It is meant for controlled riding situations and track-style fun. KTM trusts its audience, and that trust shows here.
Mechanically, the KTM Duke 160 stays the same. That is not a bad thing. The bike already offers one of the best power-to-weight ratios in its class. It feels light, quick, and eager. This update does not change how it rides. It changes how it connects with the rider.
