MG Hector facelift: What do we know so far?
The upcoming Hector facelift is likely to revamp the dying sales of the SUV in India. MG has been testing the mildly updated Hector on the roads for a while now, and it is expected to launch in the coming weeks.
Meanwhile, the latest spy shot of its interior has surfaced from Gujarat, where its new infotainment screen is visible. Moreover, online rumours are claiming that the new, updated infotainment screen will not only get a revised UI, but it will also feature 10GB of RAM for fast processing.
If so, this would resolve the regular issue reported by the Hector owners of slowed screen response. Its infotainment screen has lately emerged as a major con due to the slow response time, which directly affects operations like AC and fan speed controls that are also touch-operated via the screen.
With that said, the updated Hector will receive new exterior trims, including a new front grille, new bumpers, updated alloys, and possibly new comfort features. The current model is already loaded with Level 2 ADAS safety features, which are likely to be broadened for improved pedestrian safety.
Mechanically, the updated model will remain unchanged. MG is expected to price the Hector facelift in the current price range, so that it can attract Hyundai Creta buyers.
