Mahindra Bolero Bold Edition details
The iconic Bolero is now available with cosmetic upgrades for a better overall outlook and interior feel. The Bolero Bold Edition features black highlights on the front bumper, while the chrome has been darkened for a premium look.
On the inside, the rugged SUV now gets black leather seats with a seamless fit and finish, thus making the cabin experience a little more luxurious than before. Sadly, there are no feature additions to the cabin or the exterior.
The pricing for the Bolero Bold Edition has not been revealed, but we speculate that it will be sold as an accessory kit option at the dealership level. Mahindra has also not specified which variants will be offered with the Bold Edition.
Considering the modest upgrades, we can safely assume that the pricing for the Bold Edition will be in the ballpark of Rs 35,000.
Mechanically, the SUV remains unchanged. It uses a durable 1.5-litre, m-Hawk three-cylinder turbo-diesel engine, which is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and a rear-wheel-drive system. It develops 75 bhp and 210 Nm of peak power and torque, respectively.
Mahindra Bolero Neo Bold Edition details
Unlike the standard Bolero, the Bolero Neo, which is positioned as a more premium SUV, now gets new features as well as styling upgrades with its Bold Edition.
The front fascia of the Bolero Neo Bold Edition features darkened chrome elements, while the new roof rails add to the practicality of luggage ferrying.
On the inside, it also gets the new black leather seats, along with it is a new rear view camera which offers a wide-angle view while reversing the SUV.
Similar to the Bolero, the Bolero Neo Bold Edition also remains unchanged mechanically. The price for the special edition is yet to be announced.
Our verdict
While the Bolero Bold Edition does not seem like a big upgrade, it surely brings a fresh flair to the already outdated model. But, the good news is that Mahindra is working on a new-gen Bolero platform, which is rumoured to debut later this year in India.
