Mahindra electric cars a hit? Sales rise

As per the sales data revealed in a recent online report, Mahindra has sold 38,464 units of electric cars from January to October 2025. With the constantly rising EV sales numbers, Mahindra electric cars have contributed 7.5% to the overall sales in the first 10 months of 2025.

As far as the EV models are concerned, it is the Born Electric range that has become an instant hit among the new EV buyers. The majority of the EV sales is owned by the XEV 9e and the BE 6 models, which contribute 7% to the overall sales of 2025 until now.

Meanwhile, the XUV400 has been witnessing a decline in sales. It has recorded a 0.5% drop in the overall sales as compared to the previous year. In 2025, the XUV400 sold 2,360 units, whereas this figure was 4,307 units in 2024.

With that said, Mahindra is eyeing 15-25% EV sales by 2027, as the brand prepares to introduce new electric cars in India soon. The next upcoming Mahindra EV is the XEV 9S, which will be the first three-row EV of the brand.
