- The powertrains—2.0 L turbo-petrol and 2.2 L turbo-diesel—will likely remain unchanged.
Mahindra looks set to roll out production of the XUV700 facelift by December 2025, according to multiple sources. This mid-life update promises both visual refinements and significant interior tech enhancements, while retaining the engine options that have made the SUV a strong seller.
What to expect on the outside?
Spy shots reveal that the updated XUV700 will feature a revamped front fascia. Observers note a multi-slat grille, sharper dual-pod LED headlamps, and U-shaped daytime running lights. The bumper has also been redesigned to give a more modern look, and new alloy wheels are expected to round out the makeover.
At the rear, revised tail-lights and subtle design tweaks are expected, though the overall SUV silhouette will remain familiar.
A tech-rich cabin
The biggest changes may come inside. The facelift is said to introduce a triple-screen dashboard, inspired by Mahindra’s EV concept, likely sourced from the XEV 9e. This setup is expected to combine:
- A driver information display
- A large central infotainment screen
- A passenger-side entertainment screen
That’s not all. The facelift also reportedly adds Level 2+ ADAS, self-parking assistance, and rear ventilated seats for the six-seater version.
Mahindra is also tipped to introduce Harman/Kardon sound system with Dolby Atmos, auto-dimming IRVM, and a more premium feel overall.
What’s under the hood?
Despite the facelift, powertrain changes are likely minimal. The same 2.0 L turbo-petrol and 2.2 L turbo-diesel engines are expected to carry over. Transmissions (manual and automatic) should remain the same, according to reports.
Production timeline
Several spy shots have shown production-spec XUV700 facelift mules on test, suggesting Mahindra is moving aggressively toward mass production. According to sources, the SUV is part of the company’s December 2025 production push.
Why this facelift matters
The XUV700 has been a runaway hit for Mahindra, it recently crossed the 3-lakh sales milestone. By refreshing the model now, Mahindra is keeping it competitive against newer SUVs without launching an all-new product.
On top of that, updated interiors and safety tech make the facelifted XUV700 a more attractive option for buyers looking for premium features without switching to a luxury marque.
