Mahindra UDO: Everything to know before buying
The all-new UDO electric rickshaw is now available in India at an introductory price of Rs 3.58 lakh (ex-showroom). This e-rickshaw will be sold at an actual price of Rs 3,84,299 (ex-showroom) after a certain period.
Speaking of the details, the UDO e-rickshaw features a unique design that the company claims has been inspired by aircraft. It gets a raked windshield, chiselled body panels, vertical lights and stylish graphics. Moreover, it has the best-in-class comfort for the driver as the pilot seat is 20% more cushioned than any other driver seat in the segment.
Powering this new e-rickshaw is an IP67-rated 11.7kWh Li-ion battery pack that makes 10kW power and 52 Nm torque. Mahindra claims the best-in-segment real-world range of 200km with UDO. Moreover, it gets drum brakes that offer the least braking distance in the segment.
The UDO e-rickshaw features three ride modes: Range, Ride, and Race. In the Race mode, it can reach a top speed of 55 km/h. Moreover, it gets the first-in-segment reverse gear and regen braking system. However, the cherry on the top of the cake is its 6 years/1,50,000km warranty. Mahindra is also offering free servicing up to 1 lakh kilometres, while the owner gets an insurance cover of up to Rs 20 lakh from the brand side.
