Mahindra XUV 3XO EV debuts – Will it replace the XUV400?
Along with the new XUV 7XO launch, Mahindra had another car under its closet. This was the electrified version of the XUV 3XO, which was launched at Rs 13.89 lakh (ex-showroom) for the AX5, while the range-topping AX7 variant is priced at Rs 14.96 lakh (ex-showroom).
Available in six exterior colour options, the new XUV 3XO EV offers a similar design to its ICE counterparts. However, the front fascia has a closed grille, which is essential for aerodynamics and efficiency. The design highlights include the C-shaped LED DRLs, the new Mahindra logo, connected LED taillights, dual-tone alloys, and roof rails.
On the inside, it gets the same cabin design as the ICE XUV 3XO. The only difference can be noted at the centre console, where it gets a new gearshift lever with in-built shift lighting. Space-wise and feature-wise, it is similar to the ICE-powered XUV 3XO.
The key tech features of the XUV 3XO EV include the digital console, panoramic sunroof, dual-zone AC, leather upholstery, ambient lights, wireless charging, ventilated front seats, etc. It also comes with the Level 2 ADAS features as standard.
Powering the XUV 3XO EV is the 39.4 kWh battery pack that is also used on the XUV400. It offers 147 bhp and 310 Nm of power and torque, and delivers a real-world range of 285 km.
The official bookings for the XUV 3XO EV have commenced nationwide, and its deliveries will start from February 23, 2026. With that said, Mahindra has yet to reveal whether it will discontinue the XUV400 or not.
