Mahindra XUV 3XO crosses 5 lakh domestic sales: Why is it popular?
The latest domestic sales milestone achieved by the XUV 3XO has strengthened the brand identity even further. The XUV 3XO, which was introduced as the XUV 300 in February 2019, has achieved 5,05,590 units of domestic wholesale sales till now. This also includes the XUV 3XO EV sales, which were introduced in January 2026.
The XUV 3XO achieved its highest-ever monthly sales in October 2025, when it managed to sell 12,237 units in the domestic market. Moreover, this wholesale data excludes the 37,000 units of the SUV that have been exported to international markets such as South Africa. The collated sales data also shows that the last 1 lakh units were sold in the past 11 months, indicating that the XUV 3XO became more popular in a segment that has a throat-cutting rivalry of the models like Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, and Maruti Brezza.
To further win over the segment and boost sales, Mahindra introduced the CNG version of the XUV 3XO yesterday in India. The new XUV 3XO ZNG (Mahindra’s own nomenclature for the CNG) is based on the 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbo MPFI engine. This powertrain makes 111 bhp and 200 Nm, and it is paired with a six-speed gearbox. Mahindra claims that the XUV 3XO ZNG offers 24.7 km/kg mileage, and it can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 11.8 seconds in CNG mode.
