Renault is on a complete transformation spree, as the French carmaker has recently revealed its new-gen Duster in India, and now the reports hint at another compact SUV in the making. Read below all details about this unnamed C-SUV.

What to expect from the upcoming Renault mini SUV?
As per a recent online report, Renault is working extensively to expand its portfolio in India. The French carmaker is set to introduce the new-gen Duster’s pricing in March, while a 7-seater SUV based on the Duster is also under development. However, the latest leak is that the brand is also developing a new compact SUV, which could look like a mini Duster.
Following the trend set by the carmakers like Maruti, Renault is also eyeing to expand the SUV portfolio by adding a new C-SUV, which will take on the rivals like the Maruti Brezza. The crux here is the butch and rugged design appeal, which it will carry from the 2026 Indian-spec Duster.
While the Kiger is already on sale, it has not been able to do wonders since its launch. But, Renault believes that a rugged-looking, upright stance compact SUV could change the fate of the brand, and elevate the sales exponentially. The report also states that this unnamed SUV will use the Kiger’s 1.0-litre HR10 turbo petrol engine and the same transmission options.
With that said, this is still a work-in-progress, as Renault has targets to catch before. These targets include the launch of the new-gen Duster, followed by its deliveries, followed by the launch of the Duster Hybrid, and then the 7-seater Duster. Hence, we expect that this compact SUV is not coming any time before 2028 in India.
