Maruti S-Presso: Affordable but potent-full
With the newly revised sticker rates due to the new GST slabs, all Maruti models have now become more affordable than ever. However, it is the S-Presso that has received the maximum benefit and has become the most affordable Maruti car on sale in India currently.
The new GST price cut has dropped the standard variant pricing of the S-Presso to Rs 3.50 lakh. It is not only the cheapest car price in India, but it is lower by Rs 20,000 as compared to the Alto K10. Moreover, all variants of the S-Presso are now cheaper by Rs 20,000 than the Alto K10.
The new price list of the Maruti S-Presso is as follows:
Variant | Price (ex-showroom) |
Standard (O) | Rs 3.50 lakh |
LXI (O) | Rs 3.80 lakh |
VXI (O) | Rs 4.30 lakh |
LXI (O) CNG | Rs 4.62 lakh |
VXI Plus (O) | Rs 4.80 lakh |
VXI (O) CNG | Rs 5.12 lakh |
VXI (O) AMT | Rs 4.75 lakh |
VXI Plus AMT (O) | Rs 5.25 lakh |
The S-Presso is powered by the 999cc, inline-three cylinder, 68 bhp and 91 Nm petrol engine. It is paired with a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT transmission. Moreover, customers can opt for the CNG variants as well.
The high ground clearance and tallboy design of the S-Presso make it more friendly to drive on the mountains and narrow roads with bad infrastructure.
