Key highlights

Maruti Suzuki has hit a new milestone in its aftersales ecosystem. The company has expanded its Parts and Accessories Distributor network to 1,500 touchpoints across India, marking a major step in strengthening support for both customers and independent workshops. The latest outlet opened in Mumbai and was inaugurated by senior officials S. D. Chhabra and Kohsuke Hattori.

This network now stretches across roughly 760 cities. The goal is simple. Maruti Suzuki wants customers to have easy access to company-tested parts no matter where they live or where their car is serviced. The brand has always banked on trust in its aftersales support, and this expansion only deepens that foundation.

The distributor network forms the backbone of Maruti Suzuki’s parts supply chain. It includes warehouses and retail outlets that cater especially to smaller workshops and neighborhood mechanics. This is important because a huge chunk of India’s servicing ecosystem depends on these independent operators.

Timely access to genuine parts helps reduce repair delays and ensures that vehicles get back on the road faster. It also helps maintain consistent quality, something that owners expect from India’s largest carmaker. While these 1,500 touchpoints work independently from Maruti Suzuki’s own service centers, they complement the company’s massive aftersales footprint of more than 5,500 service outlets nationwide.

Maruti Suzuki also notes that real-world results depend on driving and maintenance habits. Still, having a stronger supply chain gives customers fewer reasons to worry about part availability — especially in smaller towns where workshops often struggle with sourcing.

Our thoughts

Most car owners don’t think about parts availability until something breaks, and by then it’s usually too late. This expansion means fewer long waits at workshops, fewer “part not available sir” moments, and fewer excuses for that rattly bumper you’ve been ignoring.
