What is the Maruti Suzuki Victoris CBG?

The Victoris CBG is an iteration based on the compressed bio gas engine. Although the details regarding its engine and powertrain are unknown, we are very much sure that it will be based on the 1.5-litre K15C motor. One can say that it is the closest bi-fuel derivative to the Victoris CNG.

Maruti is going to debut the Victoris CBG at the Japan Mobility Show, which is scheduled from October 30 to November 6, 2025. Alongside the Victoris CBG, Maruti will also showcase the Fronx flex fuel model.

Speaking of the bio gas engine, Maruti has been silently working on the new engine lineup expansion for the domestic and international market. In fact, the brand has already launched the expansion plans for supply and manufacturing of bio gas nearby Delhi NCR, where the majority of its production takes place.

Meanwhile, Victoris seems to be the right choice to display the CBG engine, as it is a premium product and also embodies the best features on a Maruti car. Moreover, the brand would not want the audience to get CBG associated with the ‘cheap’ factor, hence it has chosen Victoris to display the new CBG engine.

More details regarding this powertrain will be revealed later this month. Stay tuned.
