Maruti Suzuki Victoris – What makes it popular?
The Victoris SUV is based on the Grand Vitara’s platform. However, it is available only through the Arena dealerships at a starting price of Rs 10.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Maruti has recorded its highest sales in December 2025, where the SUV crossed the 14,000 sales mark. Earlier, the highest sales figure was 13,496 units in November 2025.
While the Victoris is positioned as the flagship model at Arena showrooms, it is continuously garnering new bookings due to its spacious cabin and big boot space. Another reason behind its instant popularity is the underbody CNG tank, which allows for a full-size boot space for CNG buyers.
Moreover, Suzuki’s 1.5-litre K15C engine is rated as one of the most trustworthy powertrains in India. It is offered with the 5-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter option on the Victoris. Meanwhile, buyers with high annual running costs can opt for the 1.5-litre CNG options, while buyers with high city usage can opt for the 1.5-litre hybrid engine.
The Victoris also comes loaded with the Maruti-first features like the Level 2 ADAS, electric seat adjustment, and more.
