JSW MG Motor India has launched the Windsor Inspire Edition, a limited-run version of its best-selling EV, to mark one year of the Windsor’s success in India. With over 40,000 units sold in just 12 months, the Windsor has become a symbol of accessible electric luxury. The Inspire Edition celebrates that milestone and honours Union Minister Nitin Gadkari’s role in shaping India’s EV roadmap.
Unveiled at Shri Gadkari’s residence in New Delhi, the Inspire Edition reflects his long-standing commitment to clean mobility. MG says the car is a tribute to his vision of India as a global leader in sustainable innovation.
What’s new in the Inspire Edition
The Windsor Inspire Edition gets a dual-tone Pearl White and Starry Black exterior, R18 black alloys with rose gold cladding, and exclusive Inspire badging. Inside, the cabin features Sangria Red and Black leather upholstery, embroidered headrests, and gold accents across the console.
Comfort gets a serious upgrade with 135-degree recline aero lounge seats and a Skylight Infinity View glass roof. Wireless illuminated sill plates and a blacked-out center armrest round out the premium vibe.
Tech and personalization
MG has packed the Inspire Edition with thoughtful accessories—rose gold grille elements, bumper protectors, Inspire cushions, and a premium leather key cover. The Drive Mate Pro+ kit adds smart convenience, while optional upgrades like sunshades and 3D mats let buyers personalize their ride.
On the tech front, the Inspire Edition introduces new i-SMART features. The ‘Watch Wellness’ app, powered by Brilliant Wellness, streams curated content directly to the head unit. And with Jio VR integration, owners can book service appointments straight from the car’s dashboard.
Pricing and availability
The Inspire Edition is priced at INR 9.99 lakh under MG’s Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model, with a full ex-showroom price of INR 16.64 lakh. Only 300 units will be produced, and bookings are now open via MG dealerships and the official website. Deliveries begin from October 15.
