Taking the racing tyre grip levels one step higher, Bridgestone has launched its latest flagship slick compound tyres called BATTLAX V03. Read its complete details below.

Bridgestone BATTLAX V03: Everything you need to know
The new BATTLAX V03 slick tyres will be positioned above the V02 SOFT compound tyres, and will be available in the US next year. The new flagship slick tyre model has been specifically derived from Bridgestone’s expertise and learnings from the world championships.
As per the company, the V03 SOFT tyres use the newly developed compound that increases the contact patch. This compound has been derived from the top-level motorcycle racing championships like the FIM Endurance World Championship, where the past five years’ winners have been using the Bridgestone tyres.
Furthermore, the V03 tyres are claimed to reduce the lap times by up to 1.3% as compared to the V02 SOFT compound tyres. But if you want more performance, there will be a special V03 SPRINT variant available as well.
The SPRINT option offers higher grip for short races or for riders who focus on grip rather than longevity. The SPRINT version enhances the grip levels by up to 1.9% per lap as compared to the V02 SOFT compound, which is remarked as a significant pace in a race environment.
Speaking of the various configurations, the BATTLAX V03 will be available in the following options:
- Front: 120/70 R17 in soft and soft-medium compound
- Rear: 190/60 R17 in two compound options (debut in 2027)
- Rear: 200/60 R17 is soft, medium, and SPRINT compounds
The India launch timeline of the BATTLAX V03 is unknown, but individuals can import these as per the availability in the international market.
