Porsche has finally given us a proper look inside the upcoming Cayenne Electric, and it’s clear they’ve thrown the rulebook out the window. Built on the all-new PPE platform (shared with the Audi Q6 e-tron), this EV gets a longer wheelbase, wider stance, and a cabin that feels more like a digital lounge than a traditional SUV.
Yes, petrol and hybrid Cayennes will continue, but this isn’t just another trim in the lineup. It’s Porsche’s way of saying: “Welcome to the future of performance SUVs.”
Cabin: tech with taste
Porsche calls it the Flow Display which is a curved OLED setup stretching nearly 42 inches across the dash. It includes:
- 14.25-inch driver cluster
- 12.3-inch infotainment screen
- Optional 14.9-inch passenger display
- And, get this: an 87-inch AR head-up display that projects navigation and lane guidance directly onto the windshield.
Mood Modes let you set tweaking lights, sound, seats, and even temperature. There’s surface heating across seats, armrests, and doors. The panoramic roof? Liquid crystal trickery that switches from clear to matte at the push of a button.
Customization is endless with 13 colour combos, four packages, five accents, plus Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur if you want a one-of-one cabin.
Power: Porsche doesn’t do half measures
They’re holding back final numbers, but prototypes already hint at:
- Up to 1,000PS and 1,500Nm
- 0–100 km/h in under 3 seconds
- Top speed north of 260 km/h
- 600 kW regenerative braking
- Adaptive air suspension with Porsche Active Ride
Practicality with a Porsche twist
Despite all the tech and muscle, it’s still a Cayenne at heart. Boot space maxes out at 56 cubic feet with seats folded, plus a 90-litre frunk. Rear seats? Power-adjustable, heated, and roomy thanks to the stretched wheelbase.
Charging is just as future-ready: 400 kW DC fast charging, wireless charging in-cabin, and Porsche’s new Digital Key that works with your phone or smartwatch.
