Bengaluru-based Simple Energy has introduced the updated Gen 2 platform scooter range with a new Ultra variant that offers the maximum range in India. Check out the complete details of these new models below.

Simple Energy Gen 2 scooters: Everything you need to know
Based on the Simple Gen 1.5, the new Gen 2 scooters have a lot more to offer. Starting with the range, the new variants now include the Simple One, One S, and a new Ultra variant.
The new Ultra variant is loaded with a 6.5 kWh battery pack that gets an IDC-claimed range of 400 km – the largest ever on a two-wheeler EV in India. It is also claimed to sprint 0-40 km/h in 2.77 seconds and has a top speed of 115 km/h.
Meanwhile, the Simple One is now available with two battery options: 4.5 kWh and 5 kWh. The 4.5 kWh battery variant offers 236 km of claimed range with a top speed of 90 km/h and 0-40 km/h in 3.3 seconds. It is paired with a 6.4 kW electric motor.
The 5 kWh battery pack is claimed to offer 265 km range, paired with an 8.8 kW electric motor. It can also reach to a top speed of 115 km/h and does 0-40 km/h in 2.55 seconds.
Other changes include the new colourways and graphics, along with a redesigned dashboard with a new 7-inch TFT console. The onboard OS now supports LTE through a 5G e-SIM, and offers features like Bluetooth, navigation, over-the-air updates, and more.
The electronics suite has also been updated with the additions of a traction control, cruise control, regen braking, TPMS, and park assist. Additionally, the underseat storage has been increased to 35 litres.
